01 Who we are

GobezLabs (“we”, “us”) is a software studio registered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, operating this website at gobezlabs.com. We build software for clients and connect companies with vetted specialists — and this page covers the personal data that flows through this website while we do that.

02 What we collect

We collect information in two ways: what you provide directly, and limited technical data collected automatically.

Information you give us

Our forms collect the following fields:

Beyond the forms: anything you send us directly by email or phone, and the details you enter with our scheduling provider when you book a call.

Information collected automatically

We use privacy-respecting analytics that record aggregate usage data:

• Page paths
• Referrer
• Browser family
• Device type
• Country

Our analytics set no cookies and are anonymized — they tell us how the site is used, not who used it. Like most websites, our servers also keep short-lived technical logs used solely for security and abuse prevention.

03 What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
• We don’t run advertising trackers — no third-party pixels, ad-network scripts, or fingerprinting.
• We don’t send marketing email. You’ll only hear from us in response to your own inquiry.
• We don’t use your data to train AI models.
• We don’t collect more than the forms show.

04 How we use it

Each category of data is used for the purpose you gave it to us — and that’s it:

• Inquiries — to understand your project and reply to you.
• Talent requests — to shortlist and propose matching specialists.
• Applications — to evaluate your candidacy and run the hiring process.
• Analytics — to see, in aggregate, what’s useful on this site and what isn’t.
• Operational logs — to detect abuse, rate-limit attacks, and debug outages.

We don’t repurpose data across those lines — a résumé is used for recruitment, an inquiry for that inquiry, and nothing becomes a mailing list.

05 Our legal bases

Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR for EEA visitors) asks us to name a legal basis:

• Taking steps toward a contract — handling your inquiry, talent request, or application at your request.
• Legitimate interest — keeping the site secure and understanding, in aggregate, how it’s used; both implemented in the least intrusive way we know how.
• Consent — anything beyond that, such as keeping an application on file for future roles. We ask first, and you can withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain or disclose something.

06 Cookies

The public site sets no tracking cookies, which is why you won’t find a cookie banner here. The only cookies involved are:

• Strictly necessary cookies — used solely for authenticated access to internal areas of the site. They are never set for regular visitors.
• Scheduling cookies — if you book a call, our embedded scheduling provider may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, only on pages where the booking widget appears.

07 Sharing & providers

We share personal data only with a small set of service providers that help us operate, under appropriate safeguards:

• Clients, with your involvement — if you’re a specialist in our talent network, your profile reaches a prospective client only as part of a match you’re actively participating in. Never as a directory, never in bulk.
• Authorities, when the law requires it — and only to the extent it requires. Where we’re allowed to, we’ll tell you it happened.

08 Data retention

We keep data only while it’s doing the job you gave it to us for:

09 Security

We protect personal data with industry-standard measures: encryption in transit, authentication and access controls, and the principle of least privilege — access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. Files you upload are stored privately and are not publicly accessible.

No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident ever affects your personal data, we will notify you promptly and clearly.

10 International visitors

We’re an Ethiopian company serving clients worldwide, and our infrastructure may be located outside your country. Wherever your data is processed, this policy — and the same technical protections — travel with it.

11 Your rights

These apply to everyone, everywhere — not only where a law grants them. Email privacy@gobezlabs.com and we’ll act on any of these free of charge, with an answer within 30 days:

If you’re unhappy with how we handled a request, tell us and we’ll escalate it internally — and depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

12 Children

This site is for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their data; if you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

13 Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the update happens here, with the “last updated” date revised. A material change — one that affects what we collect or how we use it — gets flagged prominently on this page, not buried in a diff.
